Types of Event:

Shows:
Shows are generally classic ar shows that we attend and display the club's cars. We usually camp out for the weekend at these events along with hundreds of other car owners. By day the public flock to the show grounds to see the cars and have a good day out. By night the parties begin, bbqs are lit and beer flows. Entry is free to club members.

>>> Helmet: at least 'BS6685: type A' - ... more info
>>> LMC Membership: see there website - ... more info
>>> Timing Strut: for sprints/hillclimbs
>>> Race Numbers: large stick on numbers for both side of the car

Next Events 2007: (White: shows / Red: races)

Three Sisters Sprint - April 14th 2007
This is the first race of the season. It counts for the chamionship and if its dry should be a good one! You can enter as a Liverpool motor club member but you need to apply via the Longton & DMC.

Aintree Sprint - 28th April 2007
The first Aintree sprint of the season but considering its April it might be a little wet. Anyway the usual regs apply and you need to contact LMC for entry.

Anglesey Sprint - May 19th-20th 2007
A round of the Championship and last year was really good. You can come along and camp out for the weekend at the race gound for cheaper than you could at a normal camp site. Toilets, showers, cafe and bar are all on site. You can also drive down to the beach in about 5 mins. Hosted by L&C Car Club but you can enter as part of the championship via LMC. Deffo a good one!

Anglesey Sprint - June 9th-10th 2007
Ok another round of the championship but hosting by Chester Motor club which means there should be a good turn out. Same as the above description with cheap entry and full camping facilities. Entry through CMC.

Curborough - 17th June 2007
This highly regarded as the sprint of the year and you need to book months in advance. All sorts of entries go down to this will so really rare turnouts. Also a lot of spectators. Its alomost like a mini festival of speed. Entry through Nottingham Sports Car Club.

Loton Park Hill Climb - 28th-29th July 2007
This year Loton park is being held for a weekend event so it will be well booked. Unlike the above this event is a hill climb and pretty good at that. Held in the gounds of a famous castle it is generally just quite a nice place to camp out for the weekend. Entry through Liverpool Motor Club. Photos from last year here

Past Events:

Woodvale show 2004- July 2004
This year Woodvale was MAC! The thing about the Woodvale show is the fact that it is based on an RAF base. This means lots of runways and plenty of FREE unrestricted track racing. As Tim found out the Road Traffic Act does apply on MOD land. A warning for next year if you planning to use the track during daylight hours!

Tattom Park Show - August 2004
This show is a classic and performance show over near Knutsford. A real nice driving area. This year we didn't camp over since we went out to get lashed in Wilmslow on the Saturday night and followed up an incident with a box and peach.

National Kit Car Show - August 2004
This show is held at Donnington and yes that means 'track racing action'. Apart from that we has a good turn out and got a spot next to the Ferraris.

Sefton Park Cruise - September 2004
Just a general cruise and photo shoot around Liverpool. Start point was from Uni down towards the airport, up to Sefton Park and along to the Albert Docks for a pint.

Aintree Festival Of Motorsport - November 2004
A bit cold and lacking other show cars but plenty showed up for the racing including Sterling Moss and his Maserati (mac). It must be noted that Olly got done the night before and could come because he was still drunk in morning - fag

Festival of a Thousand Classics - May 2005
A little windy at first but turned out nice. Jules got lost on the way there while being caught in a rain storm with the hood down (nice one). All cars were looking good and the GT6 got a good mention within the 1970's cars competition. Worth a visit next year!

Oulton Park - Classic car championships - May 2005
A real nice sunny day! We we able to drive around the inside of the track and park up at different locations to watch the racing. About 8 races in including Porches, Jags, Lotus and more. Attendees were Tim G, Tori, G Unit, Ian and Daph.

General Brunswick Photos - May 2005
These photos are taken over there course of a few weeks but not bad either way. Check out the 100 yard sprint with the Marcos, GT6 Spitty and MR2.

Tatton Park I - June 2005
We didn't get tickets for this event but Tim managed to wangle one from the Marcos club last minute. Anyway, only Tim and Tori ended up going last minute on the Saturday night and camped out for the Sunday show. Much bigger than last year and a V.good Marcos stand which won a prize at the end. Ian turned up at the end with one of his many females.

Aintree Sprint Series - June 2005
Just a quick trip down to Aintree to watch the Sprint/Hillclimb series. The series is held by the 'Liverpool Motor Club' as part of a number of different races in the UK. Anyway it was worth the £3 entry.

TSSC Stafford Weekend - July 2005
This was the Annual Triumph event in Stafford. Tim, Jules and Ian went along with a brief appearance from James in the Gitfire. Weather was boiling all weekend and involved lots of random cruises around the show-ground in Jules's Spitfire. Other significant points were that Ian's GT6 got an award in the Concours competition and the Marcos began to melt in the sun, literally.

Woodvale 2005 Weekend - August 2005
The second Woodvale show that we have been to. However This year everyone made it amazingly. So in all we had the MG, Spitty, Marcos, Gt6 mkI, GT6 mkIII, MR2 and the Gitfire on the stand. Good weekend and good turnout even though we didn't get to use the track on Saturday night - gutted!

Tatton Park 2- August 2005
This was a 2nd show at Tatton Park for 2005 and the 3rd we've been to. Weather was meant to be raining but turned out to be a real nice. Olly, Ian, Tim, Tori, G and Tom attended but only the Marcos, MR2 and GT6 Mk1 made it to the show. p.s - Tom broke down on the way back. There's always one.

Aintree Sprint - September 2005
This event was down at the old Aintree race track in Liverpool. It was a day of sprint racing over a number of timed runs. Unfortunately G Unit couldn't make it in his MR2 due to mechanical difficulties but the Marcos did make a show and got a total of 6 races in during the day.

Three Sisters Sprint - October 2005
The last thing we wanted for this was rain. And rain is what we got all day long. Unfortunately only the Marcos could attend this one again but probably for the best since the racing was so slow due to the water on the track. Either way Ian, Tim K, Tori and Beth all came along and caught some of the sideways action! Cheers to Tim K for the photos.

Aintree Sprint - April 2006
Olly, G, Jules, Ian and Tori came along to this one with only the Marcos racing. Sun came out for us and was one of the first warm days of the year. Good day all round and once again, worth the money.

Only Tim, Ian and Beth were able to make to this one but the sun was out as usual. 10 Marcos

Anglesey Sprint - June 2006
A round of the Championship and Tim, Tori, Olly and Rach made it along. Racing was on both days of the weekend but the Marcos only competed on Sunday. To summarise there was a spin off on the first lap, an engine cut out on the third and nearly missing the forth because Tim fell asleep in the sun. All in all a VERY good circuit and a good weekend! Cheers to Olly for making it!

Triumph Stafford Weekend - July 2006
Weather wasn't as good as last year but still a good bash. Tim, Tori, Beth and Ian made it with Neil trailing along on Saturday lunch time. All in all a good weekend to chill. Ian of course couldn't hold back and bought some shinny stuff. Magpie!

Loton Park Hill Climb - July 2006
Took a little long that we though to get there; about 1 1/2hours. Either way its was deffo a decent event and a good setup for the racers. The Marcos took part with Ian, Beth and Tori making it along to watch. 2nd in Class overall.
